International Platforms

From 2007 i managed to make a breakthrough into the international scene. In 2007 I managed to lead the organisation in planning and hosting a Global event on child labour which was called the Global March Against Child Labour a physical march which took us one year to plan, on the 1st of December 2007 we took it to the road with support from British Embassy in Zimbabwe, Save the Children, International Labour Organisation, Global March Against Child Labour Organisation, and the Government of Zimbabwe.

In 2009 I got my first international visit invitation from NGOs from China. This was to be the beginning of great things in my life. I went to China for 14 days and got invited again twice in 2010.
In 2011 i visited Kenya for the China Africa Forum and later in November i also visited Uganda for the Global Conference on Child Justice hosted by Defence for Children International and the African Child Policy Forum.
2012 has come in with even greater opportunities with it. I won a scholarship to attend the 2nd World Conference on Women’s Shelters held in Washington DC, i am told the scholarship was contested by 800 people and 150 people with me among them were chosen to win the scholarship. I will be in Washington DC for 6 days and will then fly to Geneva Switzerland to attend the DCI International General Assembly gathering which happens once every 3 to 5 years. Later in the year, i will once more visit China for the second leg of the China Africa Forum.
