POTATO FARMING IN ACHOWA, UGANDA

In the picturesque village of Achowa, nestled within the northern region of Uganda, a remarkable gathering unfolded. Two hundred women farmers converged under the banner of the Farmer’s Pride International Rural and Urban Agriculture Innovative Production Program (RUAIPP). Hosted by the visionary organization Destiny Community Development Initiative (DECODI), this transformative workshop focused on potato farming and processing skills and knowledge transfer.

The women, with their hands in the soil and hearts ablaze with purpose, embarked on a journey of learning, empowerment, and community building. Their presence signifies not just a workshop, but a movement—a movement that transcends boundaries and cultivates hope for a prosperous future.

May the fields of Achowa yield not only bountiful harvests but also a legacy of resilience, unity, and shared wisdom. 🌱🌾
